Tech-Tav employs top technical experts and the best technical writers available. But hiring the best is not enough. Tech-Tav invests extensively in continuing professional education for the staff and in maintaining a high level of job satisfaction. The result is that turnover at Tech-Tav is unusually low. We are proud of the fact that most of our technical writers on staff have been with us 7 years or more.

Technical Writers

  • A. Sherer (MSc, Computer Science): Software design, system programming, application development under VMS, DOS, UNIX, EDX. Formerly systems engineer, system programmer, and developer.
  • A. Weisberg (BA, Programming Certificate): Formerly software engineer. Database programming, software design and programming creating Visual Basic applications for the web, specifically online shopping applications.
  • A. Wiederman. (BA, Web Programming): Datacom and telecom hardware and software, software design, application and web development, database programming. Formerly application and web developer.
  • B. Hirschfeld (PhD, Chemical Engineering): Software engineering, algorithm development. Has developed simulators, signal analyzers, number crunchers, and printing engine. Programming languages: Fortran, Pascal, Assembler, Basic, C, C++. Formerly doctoral instructor in the mathematics and computer science department of Bar Ilan University: officer in Army Corps of Engineers.
  • D. Chili (BA, English Language and Literature): Develops user and administration guides, installation guides, configuration guides, end-user guides; API developer's and reference guides, and overview guides. Expertise includes MS Word 98-2010, Author-it, Acrobat Writer, Doxygen, Visio, Infopath, SnagIT and Paint Shop Pro.
  • D. Peters (MSc Coursework, Operational Research; BSc, Mathematics): Software user guides: API and CLI reference guides. Formerly software developer and QA engineer.
  • E. Jacobs (BSc, Accounting; Programming Certification): Programming, analyst and documentation supervisor. Database programming, financial and medical applications, reporting and accounting. Formerly lead programming analyst.
  • J. Kilner (BEng, Electronic Engineering): Telecom and datacom hardware and software. Programming languages: C, C++, VB. Formerly software engineer responsible for the development of testing and analysis software for the mobile phone industry.
  • J. Weiner (BA, MSc Coursework, Computer Science): Over 20 years of IT experience in systems development, analysis, integration, and documentation. Formerly supported US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) satellite navigation acquisitions as information security engineer; wrote information security requirements and documentation for security certification and authorization package. Programming languages: Basic, Cobol, Fortran, C, C++.
  • J. Cohen Technical marcom, end-user and instructional documentation, and business graphics. Line-of-business applications, ISDN, communications, and software. Formerly physics and electronics instructor; author of astronomy textbook.
  • M. Rosen (PhD, Electrochemistry): Expertise in MS Word, macro development, Visio, and other graphic and computer programs. Formerly senior researcher in electrochemistry, using computerized control for experiments, measurements, and analysis.
  • M. Min-Hahar (BA, Computer Science & Linguistics): Computer applications and languages, computer research, database programming, hardware, quality assurance. Formerly researcher in artificial intelligence at Digital Equipment Corporation.
  • M. Haber (BSc, Computer Science): Expertise in AuthorIT, EPIC, Webworks. Programming experience in XML, JSP and HTML. Quality Assurance. Management experience. Formerly software developer.
  • N. Papoushado (BA, Religious Studies): 10 years writing experience in the telecom and printing industries. Experienced user of AuthorIT, XML and DITA (XMetaL and Astoria CMS), Framemaker and Robohelp. Deliverables include user, installation and maintenance guides, online help and release notes. Well-versed in single-sourcing and writing for localization.
  • R. Bernstein: 12+ years of technical and marketing writing experience including telecom and datacom hardware and software; developing instructional documentation and supporting PowerPoint presentations; creating business and technical graphics for documentation purposes.   • S. Ungerman (BSc, Electrical & Computer Engineering, BA and MA, Mathematics). Experience in system engineering includes integrating and testing end-to-end systems, designing and implementing automated scripts and maintaining software and hardware system components. Technical writing and instructional design specializing in telecommunication, printing and aviation.
  • S. Levy (BSc, Physics): 10 years experience in technical and marketing documentation, training materials and training in authoring software and technical writing. API developer's and reference guides, brochures, CLI administration and command reference guides, GUI user guides, installation guides, online help, overview guides, web-based training, websites. Master use of Adobe FrameMaker and Microsoft Word. Custom template design.
  • S. Heftler (BA, Mathematics): Telecom, data communications, networking, optical networks, programming interfaces, telephony, middleware, e-commerce, Web-site applications, enterprise application integration, single sourcing using AuthorIT, on-line help, HTML programming. Former mathematics instructor.
  • S. Sagir (BSc, Computer Science): IT management, system administration, application (c, VB) & web (PHP, JScript, HTML, CSS, ASP) development on IIS & Apache, database  management (MSSQL, MySQL) and networking on UNIX, Linux and Window platforms. Experienced in MS Word and  AuthorIT.
  • S. Bartsion (BEd Coursework): Experience in telecom and semiconductor fields, including many years as documentation manager of a chipset designer/manufacturer. Wide experience in working with multi-national customers. Experienced in ISO9000:2001 requirements and worked closely with QA Managers and auditors on 2 separate occasions to achieve ISO9000:2001 certification. Experienced in minutes of meetings, editing, marcom writing including presentations, press releases and graphic design for convention posters and leaflets, as well as designing intricate electrical diagrams from rough sketch. Performed business intelligence research and put together presentations using the results.
  • S. Fulda (BA, Economics & Computer Science): On-line help specialist and programmer in HTML and VXML. Expertise in large-scale documentation conversions and single sourcing using AuthorIT and Framemaker . Formerly QA engineer specializing in telephony, IVR, and VOIP. Worked in UNIX and MySQL environments.
  • Sh. Levy (BEd, English, Translation): Experience includes software documentation for print and online help, localization and editing end-user guides, hardware documentation and template design. Experienced with MS Word 2007, AuthorIT, FrameMaker, RoboHelp, MadCap Flare and Visio. Eight years of experience in translation and editing from Hebrew to English and English to Hebrew.
  • T. Pierce (MA learning disabilities): Statistical analysis and applications programming, COBOL, Fortran, telecom hardware and software. Formerly programmer analyst on year-2000 software project.
  • T. Bronfen (MBA executive; BA International Relations): Experience includes User and Administration Guides, Installation Guides, Online Help, and Technical Marcom. Formerly worked as Telco system analyst and in network security product marketing.
  • V. Feinerman (BA English; MA coursework, English; coursework in Computer Science & Mathematics): Single sourcing, on-line help. End-user guides; API and CLI reference guides; tutorials for Internet communications infrastructure, enterprise security, search and navigation, mobile Internet proxy, support and diagnostics, and firewall management hardware and software.
